Katie Sheldon grew up in Sidney, IA, as a true-blue Midwest farmer’s daughter. She cut her teeth on the principles he instilled, such as kindness, honesty, and integrity. Emulating her mother, who served as the Fremont County treasurer, Katie set her sights on a professional career that would take her from corporate America to country REALTOR®.
After graduating high school in 1999, Katie attended Iowa Western Community College where she attained an Associates of Applied Science Degree in 2001. Using the knowledge and skills she developed during her education, she worked in a corporate law firm in downtown Omaha, NE. After four years at the firm, Katie decided to pursue her Iowa Real Estate License. From 2006 to 2011, she excelled as a representative for buyers and sellers with the NP Dodge Real Estate Company. But Texas was calling.
After relocating to North Central Texas and settling in Parker County, Katie held a variety of positions that honed her already stellar customer service skills – from Sales Manager to Assistant to the Executive Manager at the Fort Worth Stockyards Rodeo, to Bull Riding Secretary at Billy Bob’s Texas Bull Riding – then studying for her Texas Real Estate License.
With such a full schedule, it’s a good thing Katie developed a strong work ethic growing up on the family farm. She learned at a young age that the day wasn't over at 5:00 pm; you worked until the job was done and done well. A dedicated, focused, multi-tasker with excellent interpersonal skills, Katie provides her clients with a REALTOR® who stays current on trends in the marketplace, continues educating herself on all things real estate, while not straying too far from her Midwesterner values that Texans appreciate. Let Katie put her 15-plus years of sales experience to work for you!
Currently, Katie lives in Brock with her eighteen-year-old son, Nolan, and her three dogs, Buddy, Daisy, and Gretchen. She’s an active member of Brock Methodist Church. When she’s not immersed in real estate, Katie enjoys baking cakes and cookies, cooking out with family and friends, traveling, fishing, kayaking, and being in or near any body of water.
